ReadFlow Privacy Policy

ReadFlow is a browser extension that helps you track long-form reading progress and resume where you left off.

What data ReadFlow stores

ReadFlow stores the following information for pages it identifies as long-form reading (for example: articles, blogs, documentation):

• Page URL (canonical URL when available)
• Page title
• Scroll progress and last scroll position
• Active reading time (only while the tab is visible)
• Engagement signals used to compute confidence (mouse movement and scroll speed)
• Reading status (Unread / In Progress / Read)
• Category you assign (Work / Study / Research / Personal)
• Last visited date/time

Where your data lives

All data is saved locally on your device using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local. ReadFlow does not include any accounts and does not sync your reading history to any server.

Data sharing

ReadFlow does not sell, rent, transfer, or share your data with third parties.

Remote code

ReadFlow does not load or execute remote code. All JavaScript required for the extension is bundled inside the extension package.
